Image by IrisDragon 3 days healed She says:Now. This is a surprise for most - what you're seeing and judging is the upside down pentacle. For those who don't know their lore, they think I'm worshipping satan with my skin. But what you're supposed to see is, turning your head diagonally to the right(so that the pentacle is right side up using the next point to the right), the two crescent moons(maroon) on each side of the now-right side up pentacle. Only a few people will recognize this symbol, and for those who do, congrats. This is the triple goddess symbol.. showing the phases of the moon(waxing, full, and waning) that support feminism throughout a girl's life - the maiden, mother, and crone. The pentacle inside simply adds to the symbolism - the integration of body and spirit, and the spiritual mastery of the four elements.. not to mention it is a symbol of protection from harm and evil doers who would wrong you. I love the design, it turned out better than I thought. Martin also said he liked the design as a first tattoo, especially seeing how I was a girl and I hadn't done ink before. It was fantastic.
